Discover How Richmond’s New Neighbourhood Working Will Change Local Care

The League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital is delighted to invite members, volunteers, local residents and supporters to its Annual General Meeting and Drinks Reception, with the theme of Neighbourhood Working, on Tuesday 16 June 2026 at 7.30pm at the Peter & Paul Centre, Teddington.

Neighbourhood Working in Richmond

This year’s event will feature guest speaker Dr Justin Woolley, Chair of Richmond GP Alliance, who will speak on “Neighbourhood Working in Richmond”, an important new approach that is helping shape the future of local healthcare services.

Across the NHS, neighbourhood working is becoming a key part of efforts to provide more joined-up, community-based care.

The model aims to bring together GPs, hospitals, community services, mental health teams and voluntary organisations to improve support for residents and deliver care closer to home.

Healthcare Planning

While these changes are already beginning to influence healthcare planning across Richmond, many local people may not yet be aware of what they could mean in practice.

Dr Woolley’s talk will provide an opportunity to hear directly from a senior local healthcare leader about the thinking behind the changes, the challenges involved, and the potential benefits for patients and communities.

Annual General Meeting & Drinks Reception

The evening will also include the League’s AGM, reflecting on the organisation’s ongoing support for Teddington Memorial Hospital, local healthcare initiatives and outlining our plans for the future.

Members, volunteers, residents, supporters and anyone interested in the future of local healthcare are warmly encouraged to attend.
