Our Gardens Group is hosting another evening talk at Teddington Constitutional Club. Please do join us to hear “The Blitz as a Catalyst for Greening London” by Katharine Woods.
Hear how the devastation of bombing created opportunities for new parks and gardens, including some surprising stories of what once lay beneath some of London's best-loved parks. A talk by Katharine Woods, who is a gardener, garden historian and photographer. She has an MA in Garden and Landscape History and is studying for a Ph.D.
The function room will be open/accessible from 8pm to take your seat. The talk will start shortly after and last about an hour, including time for questions.
There is a bar at the Constitutional Club where you will be able to purchase drinks before and after the talk.
Numbers will be limited, so to secure a ticket, please book in advance via TicketSource.
Tickets £5, both members and non-members of the Teddington Society are welcome.
