Talk: The Wit and Songs of Noel Coward
Noel Coward was born in 1899 in Waldegrave Road, Teddington. He was an actor, writer, composer, director, producer, and in later life painter– and he excelled at them all. He said of himself ‘I am an enormously talented man, and there is no point in denying it’.
Noel’s renditions included: Don’t Let’s Be Beastly To The Germans, Mrs Worthington, Mad About The Boy, There Are Bad Times Just Around The Corner and Mad Dogs & Englishmen.
Our speaker, Peter Gill, is an aficionado of Noel’s talents. He regularly delivers talks about the self-acclaimed “Master” supported by live music and visuals. You will be guaranteed a relaxing and convivial evening.
You can get refreshments at the Constitutional Club so arrive early and get in the mood. You will be guaranteed a pleasant evening reminiscing about Teddington’s own home-grown “Master”.
