Parks Parking Charges Rallies 2009 & 2010
In 2009 and 2010, there was huge public endorsement of the decision by the Teddington Society and the Friends of Bushy and Home Parks to oppose the introduction of charging for car parking at Bushy and Richmond Parks. Our members turned out in droves to express their opposition, and we were strongly supported by other local amenity organisations as well as MPs and residents, including Vince Cable, Zac Goldsmith, Susan Kramer, Justine Greening and Trevor Macdonald. In the end, good sense prevailed and the Royal Parks dropped the plan. All images are by Brian Holder of the Teddington Society.
