Park Lane Stables Appeal

Park Lane Stables  in Teddington is going to be part of The Big Give Xmas Challenge this year - they're hoping to raise £75,000. It's their biggest fundraiser in some years.

The Stables need to raise funds to get them through the winter months, when the shorter days mean they can do fewer sessions, but the costs remain very high. To put it in perspective, their running costs are around £25,000 every single month, but a lot of their costs have gone up dramatically recently. For example, the long, dry summer has led to a national hay shortage - which has seen their hay bill go up by over 40% since June. A small bale of bay now costs £9 and that's about a 5 minute snack for a hungry horse!
