Plans to add extra storey

A planning application to put an extra storey on the flats at 59-67 Broad Street, opposite the Hogarth pub, is now on the Council's website.

The upward extension will be in a similar material to that already used on the current top floor The application (no.PA25/1654) can be viewed here.

This site is surrounded by two conservation areas - Broad Street and Church Road and is next to and opposite Buildings of Townscape Merit. The current building is a similar height to the surrounding shops in a very modern style. A extra modern-style storey would be very visible from Broad Street.

The stated decision date is 11 July 2025. Comments on the application should be submitted on the Council's website well before the decision date.
