Elleray Community Association seeks new Chairman
Elleray Community Association is the charity that provides services for older adults in our community and which manages Elleray Hall / the new Elleray Centre in Teddington. After many years as Chairman, Joan Barnett, BEM will be retiring soon after the Association has moved to the new building in North Lane.
This will be an exciting time for the charity as their immediate mission will be to expand the range of services offered to members of their social club, and introduce new classes, courses and activities that will ensure that the new centre becomes a thriving community asset of value to all local residents.
The new trustee Chairman will lead the board of trustees in overseeing an expansion of charitable services and ensuring that the new centre becomes a thriving community asset of value to all local residents.
Ideally, the Association would like their new Chairman to have experience either as a trustee or in running committees or managing aspects of a service or business. As well as acting as spokesperson and figurehead for the charity, they will be instrumental in providing the strategic leadership necessary to ensure that we achieve our mission. The ability to engage with stakeholders and collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers as well as other charities, institutions and the local authority is vital.
